Keeping it quirky

My favourite TV show at the moment has to be New Girl.

A year ago finding myself slightly bored I decided to try and think of a series I could watch from the start (many university students will know this is a regular occurrence watching about a million series from start to finish). I searched for comedy series and came across New Girl and thought I'd give it a try.

...It was well worth it. You may call me biased, due to the fact I love the Deschanel sisters but I recommend New Girl to anyone. Its light hearted quirky humour is not just for girls, my boyfriend may kill me for admitting this but he loves it too!

I'd call it a modern take on Friends.

Part of my reason for loving the show is Zooey Deschanel, I think she is an extremely talented actress and singer not only that but she also produces the show and plays her own music within her band She & Him. She comes across in everything she does as such a genuine, kind and quirky person I just think what’s not to love about her? She is a role model.

I've also recently found out that she is co-founder of HelloGiggles a website for girls of any age that talks about a number of different subjects from books, to DIY, to music. The website has a 'no gossip' policy, which is all about working towards a social networking community that doesn't let people put others down...Something I feel should be marketed across all social networking sites.
