Crazy for crochet!

Bulgaria seemed to be obsessed with crochet, there where so many old ladies selling their handmade crochet on the beach, I fell in love with the stuff...

My first buy where these cute coasters...

My boyfriend said they were something he'd imagine a granny to have in her house...well after a recent shopping trip I found out that Zara Home are selling something similar so Ha!

My second strange purchase was this little thing...

This cute little sheep is made all from wool and just reminded me of home...  It's a small decoration that I plan on hanging up in my new flat. 

My third and final purchase of the holiday was this beautiful crochet dress which I bought off a little old man in Nesebar, he'd filled the ground floor of his small house with piles and piles of crochet and it was amazing! I should have got a photo. This man had crocheted everything himself and must have had hundreds of different items made out of crochet. 

I had my heart set on a dress so tried on dress after dress after dress; he was really nice and spoke about how he had made each of the dresses and how you could wear them in different ways. Who'd have thought it, a male Fashionista in a little old town in Bulgaria?

I ended up choosing this classic white one and it’s so nice to own a dress you know the history of, to know the little old man had made and created the design all by himself and put hours of work in to it. It’s nice to have something one of a kind I’m sure many people will agree.

Whatever people say about crochet I feel when it comes to 'beach looks' white crochet dresses never go out of style and I plan on taking this on every future holiday with me.
