Where to go in Birmingham?

As I have lived in Birmingham for the last three years I thought I should write a post on some of the places I would recommend visiting.

Firstly one of my favourite restaurants in Birmingham is Bar Estilo, situated within The Mailbox.

With the many restaurant choices to pick from within The Mailbox you could end up anywhere, but having been to most I definitely recommended Bar Estilo as your first choice.Bar Estilo is a tapas restaurant with a great atmosphere.

On my first visit I decided to experiment a little choosing some dishes I wouldn’t normally go for. I’ve always wanted to try scallops and although a little pricey, I thought let’s give them a try! I was definitely not disappointed everything was delicious even down to the churro desert I managed to cram in!

Bar Estilo is definitely top on my list in The Mailbox and even in Birmingham for restaurants, the atmosphere, the sharing dishes, there’s something for everyone.

Second on my list of top places to visit in Birmingham is a bar called Bacchus situated within the Burlington Arcade it’s a little gem that many people from Birmingham might not know of! ...Even still, on evenings and weekends its bursting with people.

The rooms of the underground bar are all themed; Egyptian and medieval being two of my favourites.

Bacchus is a must visit bar in my eyes, the excitement of an underground bar that many of my friends are unaware of makes the bar that bit more interesting, the beautifully themed and decorated rooms add to the bars interest making it a sight worth seeing!

Drinks may be considered slightly pricey to the students out there reading this, but if you fancy a sophisticated night out or fancy taking your friends to an impressive place this is where to go!
