Stress free holiday packing!

Currently packing for my Holiday, which most people may find a chore... I however find it part of the exciting run up to a holiday.

I don't tend to go out shopping before a holiday due to when I go out looking for certain things, typically I will never find them! Instead I choose to collect holiday items throughout the year.

I like finding a bargain and finding timeless items that won't be out of fashion when my next holiday comes around.

Here's a run through of just a couple of items that I'm packing that I got for a bargain price...

Cream Levi Shorts

...An item that most young girls probably have in their wardrobe.

I love Levi's however wanted something a bit different. Most girls I know own at least one blue or black pair, I however wanted a more summery colour.

With vintage clothes it's so hard to find the perfect size, I'd trailed around Urban Outfitters and Oasis (a popular vintage store in Birmingham) trying on what felt like hundreds of pairs, having the same problem of none of them fitting exactly right. In the end I decided on risking it and buying some off eBay.

I managed to get a pair for £12!

When I received the shorts the waist size was perfect which was a relief! However I wanted to make a few tweaks to the length and style of the bottom of the shorts, so got to work with my sewing machine and scissors. All it took was cutting the ends and fraying them by pulling threads with my fingers and unpicking some stitching on the seams of the shorts. I then re-sewed the seams tighter so they would fit my thighs.

I suggest to anyone looking to get a pair of Levi's if your handy with scissors and a sewing machine get a pair off eBay! If your not so brave, the place to go in Birmingham for a cheap pair is Oasis. Shorts start from £12 and you can try them on to find your perfect size, at £12 if you fancy having a go with the scissors then why not?

Topshop Limited Edition Dress

Secondly I'll be packing a Topshop Limited Edition dress, which I'd loved since I'd first seen it online however at £120 I couldn't bring myself to buy it, a few months later while rummaging through the sale rails in my small local Topshop I found it for £40! I had nowhere to wear it at that moment in time but I couldn't say no at £40 and knew it would be a timeless dress I could always bring out for special occasions.
